All officers and enlisted soldiers must report to the Personnel Support Detachment (PSO) on arrival. The Personnel Center is located at Bldg Number . You can reach them at 757-462-7385 or DSN 564-7385.

You can expect to be with the detachment for 5 days. When you get signed in, you will receive a billeting assignment, bedding and a temporary meal card if you are not on separate rations. If your family arrives with you, Navy Gateway Inns & Suites will help make them comfortable during your inprocessing. You should have all of your personal records on hand. Personnel, Finance, Medical and Dental. You must be in uniform to inprocess. The duty uniform at NAB Little Creek, VA is utility. Be sure that you have enough uniforms with you to begin duties after inprocessing.

All personnel reporting to the Amphibious Base or one of the Tenant Commands, report to Personnel Support Detachment (PSD), located directly inside gate 4 or that Tenant Command. All personnel reporting to the ships, report directly to the ship. If you do not know where to find the ship, call the ship information line at 757-444-0000 and request the pier number and directions. If the ship is on deployment, report to the Naval Station Norfolk, Transient Personnel Unit (TPU).

All personnel are required to report to the housing referral office, located on the corner of Shore Drive and Independence Drive prior to negotiating any off base housing.
